Sparkly

This was my "cheer me up" NOTD today. It kinda worked...I was a good girl and left it on all day long which is about impossible for me to do. I usually have 5 or 6 NOTDs before bedtime rolls around.
This is China Glaze Heli-yum with lots of tiny little rhinestones I just got in the mail yesterday. I ordered a shit ton of them off ebay last week. I can't wait to try these on black. I love this polish BTW, this is one single coat.

I just got back from CVS where I returned SH HD LASER. The checkout lady asked me what was wrong with it and I said, "It sucks ass".  She then opened the polish and tested the brush out by swiping it on the rim of the bottle about 15 times. Then she started to peer into the bottle opening to see if it was all used up...So I was like, "the bottle is clear". She continued to strain her eyes looking down into the tiny bottle opening as if she hadn't heard me at all. I let her go about her investigation for at least 5 whole minutes before I lost my cool.

Loosing my cool consisted of shifting my weight from side to side, making a very mean face, and huffing and puffing REALLY LOUDLY. She eventually gave me back my 6 dollars but She left me with so many questions. Do I really look like some sort of nail polish criminal? Does she think I skulk from CVS to CVS using up nail polishes and returning empty bottles for full refunds? Do I look like the kind of person that runs a nail polish smuggling ring out of my apartment, victimizing drug stores all over the east coast?  Was she really too stupid to realize that nail polish bottles are CLEAR?

While I was at CVS I got 6 of the new confetti polishes that look very promising. I also hit Walgreens while I was out and got some Sinfuls. So, I'll have swatches of those soon.

Zoya Sparkles, the remainder.

When I first bought the Sparkles Collection from Zoya I decided on only getting 3 of them and passing on the reds/pinks.  Now that I have the 3 reds from the Sparkles collection I realize the mistake I made when first purchasing! These are gorgeous, people!
Nihdi is the most unique color of the bunch in my opinion. It's a red jelly/cream hybrid loaded with shimmer and micro sparkles. I absolutely LOVE it, not to mention I own nothing else remotely close to it which is a good and RARE thing.
HOT.  I adore this medium to hot pink jelly!  It's so 80's yet so now at the same time.  It's jam packed with pink glitter and shimmer and basically comes alive in the sunlight.
Alegra...Wowza!  This one is my favorite from the entire Sparkles collection now that I see it in person.  A truly gorgeous magenta like dark pink that sings when applied.  It was the most pigmented of all the sparkles polishes IMO and only needed 2 coats to reach it's perfectly sparkly goodness.

Overall, the Sparkles Collection is my favorite collection from zoya ever.  These polishes are unique in color as well as finish, they are attention getting, and they have a superior application to any other glitters I own while not needing a topcoat. SO, if you haven't gotten the sparkles collection yet...HINT HINT. To see the other colors from Zoya Sparkle click here.

While Zoya used to be near the bottom of my top 5 polish brands they are trudging up the totem pole with these new wonderful and inventive collections.  I have found myself with a desk FULL of zoya bottles with nowhere to store them, and they are quickly catching up in numbers to my previous favorite brands like China Glaze and Orly.  Keep it up Zoya!

New York Summer Pt 7

 Part 6

Thank freakin god this is FINALLY the last installment of these polishes.  You guys have no idea how sick I am of swatching them.  Do you like how I said that I'm all done despite the fact that I still have all the glitters to swatch? I am mentally unable to face the fact that I still have 10+ NYS glitters to slather all over my hands. It's depressing.  I want to swatch stuff that I love, but I set out to swatch the whole stupid collection of NYS polish so I am going to do it. I just want to pretend that I'm finished at the moment, dammit.

Sorry about the hiatus in posting dudes.  Things have been non awesome on my side of the looney bin, but I won't bore you with details.  I know everyone has there own crap to deal with and reading all about my crazies isn't at the top of anyone's "to do" list.  Instead I shall slap on my happy face and get this freak show on the road.

So, who's ready to be disappointed?  This is the most boring and stupid set of NYS polish yet people. It seems I saved all the identical pink shimmers for last. Hurray!  These are all 3 coats.

Zoya Sparkles my way.

This is my favorite new collection of the season.  Absolutely gorgeous, unique and with perfect timing.  I was about to stab myself in the throat if ONE more pastel creme collection came out people. These are all solid 3 coaters and apply quite well.  They can be runny if you try to do thicker coats but they do dry fast.
I only bought three of the sparkle collection, quite frankly because I have ENOUGH boring pink Zoyas and they just didn't look all that awesome.  So, I snagged the purple, blue and green as seen above. Then instead of the rest of the sparkle collection I got my pink fix by buying Astra, Nova, and Roxy.  I sort of wish I had gotten the red from the sparkle collection but oh well, I'm sure I'll find an excuse to order again at some point.  These are all 3 coats as well.
I think these 6 are the prettiest Zoyas I have ever seen!

From across the pond...

Did you guys know I have a nail twin?  Well I do, our nails were separated at birth and given to separate families that moved across the globe, living lonely and very different lives only to be reunited at MUA 25 years later.  She lives all the way in Tasmania which I think is so incredibly cool.  I even felt cool writing out "Tasmania" on the packages I have sent her, because sending a piece of mail with "Tasmania" written on it is as close as this local girl can get to feeling like a world traveler.

We are those type of nail twins that are totally opposite.  Like she is really nice and thoughtful and probably organized and has a GPS, and I am a lame butt hole that says "retard" and offends people with her normal behavior on a regular basis, a total slob, and I never know what direction I am going while driving.  Anyhoo, she sent me some goodies from across the pond that I am in love with.
This gorgeous little number was almost a one coater and nearly applied itself.  I love the color so much, it's not really "blackened" where the edges look black and the center looks glowy. The edges look more of a really dark purple and the whole nail looks glowy.
You see this?  This is THE perfect purple. That is it, this polish sealed the deal and I never have to think about it again. THIS is my favorite purple, ever. It makes my skin even out and look a creamy pale shade instead of all pink and gross, it doesn't look black and it's dry on the first nail you painted by the time you paint the last nail. I LOVE YOU NAIL TWIN!
These two Sugar Baby polishes are really different colors than I would ever choose for myself but somehow you nailed it, you wonderful twin of mine!  I  love them BOTH.  I love the colors, the bottles, I even love the subtle shimmer in Dream Team even though I freakin hate subtle shimmer!  These were both two coaters.  I really like this brand, the bottles are things dreams are made of people.

Thanks a million Twinny!

Claire's Mood Changing Nail Polishes.

These are pretty cool. They applied just ok, a little gloopy but they made up for it by drying lightning fast. The 4 that I got all change to a neon and dry matte.  These are all basically 3 coaters.  Guess what?  They actually CHANGE COLOR!!!  Sweet!  My favs are the green/yellow and the teal/blue.

These can be found at a claire's near you dudes!

Crazy Town

Lately I've been on this obsessive kick for red cremes.  It's all I want to wear.  So, since I never allow myself to just do what I want.  I've been forcing myself to branch out into the pinkish, redish mauve, and purple range.  I placed a Zoya order, and when I opened the box and started unloading polishes I realized I had ordered SIX nearly identical pinkish red polishes.  It seems when I want something I don't just buy ONE of what I want.  I buy every polish available that is close to that color!  So now I have 6 redish pink Zoyas sitting on my shelf in addition to all the other red Zoyas I already had. When I want redish pink, I BUY REDISH PINK people.  Is one enough?  Nope! Gimmie every single one you got, apparently I dont even care if they are nearly identical!  It seems I have a hoarding problem with things in the redish pink color spectrum despite the fact that I really don't LIKE redish freakin PINK!

Not to mention, I also got some Orlys and 3 of them are nearly dead on dupes to 3 of the Zoyas I got.  I laid them all out together and match after match just kept appearing!  Lucky me!  Oh yeah!  I cleared out the redish pink section of Orlys too!  Don't try to find any because every single redish pink polish ever made is sitting in a pile on my living room floor.  So, if any of you gals need  to borrow some red, pink, or mauve cremes COME ON DOWN to crazy-town and lets get you polished up!
From left to right we have- Paris, Sofia, Demi, Ciara, Moxie, and Vanessa.
2 coats. Ok.
2 coats, a little brighter than Ciara.
2 coats. This is pretty.
2 coats. Ok, a little more towards purple, doing better. It isn't this purple IRL though my camera adds blue to anything thats even CLOSE to purple.
This one was 3 coats. Back were we started. A slightly darker version of Ciara.
Thank goodness I had the sense to toss this one in my cart along with all the pink or I think I would have seriously lost it.  I love this! 2 coats.

Ya Rly

Orly is quickly becoming one of my favorite brands.  Between them and Misa they are starting to give China Glaze a serious run for their money.   The rubberized handles are simply perfection.  I also am totally in love with the fact that the bottles look really large, they are heavy, solid, and feel like they are great quality.  They are really doing the trick for my bottle fetish.  The color selection is pretty good too.  I just really wish they had more blue and green cremes.  But I am covered on pink, red and purple cremes from them, holy crap.
This is about as close to straight up pink as I allow myself to buy anymore. I just have too many pinks.  That's a real problem because pink is not my thing.  This is 2 coats.
Gorgeous!  From the promo pics I thought this would be more of a true red but it isn't.  Its a gorgeous reddish purpley raspberry color and I adore it!  2 coats.
Another wonderful red creme added to my stash.  This is perfection in a bottle my friends.  I cannot get enough of good red cremes.  This one is so smooth, not too orange, and dries SO shiny.  2 coats.
Gah!  Love!  Super dark, vampy, red jelly.  It's got some brown in it but not too much.  It's killer awesome.  3 coats.  I really needed this when I did my vampies comparison but I didn't have it then so whatever.  My guess is that this one is right between Zoya Casey and Misa Love Bite.
So this is a tad less blue than shown here because my camera is the devil and loves to add more blue to anything purple.  It's so pretty though.  It's also a dead on dupe to Zoya Lael. 2 coats.

I've been dying to start another giveaway and it's been nearly impossible to wait until the first one was over.  But today I woke up in a foul mood with an incredibly sore throat from snoring and walked into my kitchen to find 4, count them FOUR, piles of Manatee crap.  FOUR!  We aren't talking 4 little nuggets here folks, there were four PILES.  He must have been saving it up all day like some sort of mobile poop piggy bank.  Do you know what that means?  It means that little butt hole got OUT of the bed with me on FOUR separate occasions, sauntered into my freaken kitchen, did his circle dance, and pinched a loaf.  Each time returned to my bed and snuggling back up with me in the warm covers as if he hadn't just shit in my kitchen!  He is STILL snuggled up in the warm bed this very minute!

So my morning got kicked off to a great start on my hands and knees on the freezing cold floor, scrubbing up Manatee presents.  After I collected myself, showered and had a few sips of coffee I realized a grand realization people!  This is my shit and I can do whatever I want!  So today the new giveaway starts!
The new prize is a new bottle of Orly Enchanted forest, a gorgeous green creme, and a brand spanking new bottle of Matte Magic Top coat.
Here is my swatch of enchanted forest, don't worry I have two bottles.
